Clay Murals

How to purify and ground your space

Clay is undeniably the most widely used material in human history for both construction and everyday objects.

  • Clay murals are an excellent way to seal off the toxic past, literally and symbolically!

Clay might be a great fit for you if:

    • You want to make a meaningful and low-committment step toward natural building without investing in a full renovation

    • You’re craving a home that feels more grounding, alive, and calming

    • You want to move away from chemical-laden paints and materials

    • You’re sensitive to your environment and want walls that support your health

    • You’re drawn to earthy textures and handmade finishes that carry soul

    • You value slow, intentional design that tells a story

    • You want your space to feel more like a sanctuary, not a showroom

Clay brings beauty, breathability, and depth into your space. It’s not just for natural builders, it’s for anyone ready to reconnect with their home in a more honest and nourishing way.

  • Among all building materials, it stands out as the most ecological, thanks to its ionizing and purifying properties, its local abundance, and its affordability.

    Clay is also incredibly user-friendly: it requires no industrial processing;
this natural, flexible binder hardens as it dries.

  • I work on most substrates. Yes, I can even work on traditional gypsum walls and VOC paints!

  • Choosing clay is a return to source and a bold statement of sustainability by choosing materials that support your health and the planet.

    Here’s how it compares:

    • Clay has always been there for us, and requires no gatekept skills or complicated transformations.

    • Clay plaster has a soft, matte, tactile finish. It’s easy to repair, doesn’t off-gas toxic VOCs, and helps regulate moisture and temperature in a space. Ideal for interiors, it brings both beauty and function.

    • Lime plaster is more alkaline and.great for bathrooms or exteriors, but trickier to apply and less forgiving than clay.

    • Gypsum plaster or drywall compound is industrial and less breathable. It can crack over time and doesn’t offer the same natural benefits.

    • Paint simply coats the surface, while clay becomes the surface, adding depth, texture, and a living quality to your walls.

Clay doesn’t just change the look of a room, it transforms how it feels. It's a healthy, sustainable, and sensory-rich alternative to modern materials.

  • I mix everything by hand, onsite, and do not source with any third-party design or production company. This is as raw and real as it gets.

I also make my own colour mixes with natural dyes.
